The next Competition has been deferred until 2022

We regret to announce that entries for the Tunbridge Wells International Music Competition will not open on 1st January 2021 as anticipated. The ongoing Coronavirus situation in the UK, the new virulent strain of Covid-19, and the recently imposed stringent lockdowns are developments that we could not have foreseen. The Competition Council has, with great sadness, decided that we have no option but to defer the full Competition until April/May 2022 when we will once again be part of the Mayfield Festival. However, we hope to offer an alternative, virtual opportunity for competitors in spring 2021 with entries opening slightly later than planned. Details will be announced in January 2021 – watch this space!
